Stjepan M. Gilg 1894 Luthiers - the oldest Croatian workshop for construction and repair of traditional tambouras of all kind and tuning systems, the family laboratory of the finest luthier's skill that already 116 years endows to the tambouritzans at home and all around the world the joy of the immaculate plectrum instruments sound!     

     Our shop emerged at the dawn of interest for tambouritza as the Croatian national instrument, it reached its glorious days already in the first decades of the 20th century, survived certain fall of public interest in the folklore in its second half and cherished the heritage of its founders until the present revival of the tambouritza music - preserving all the time the knowledge and experience in building perfect instruments with rich sound, excellent tuning and marvellous beauty that impress equally expert players and those who see a tambouritza for the first time, whether in the hands of the Croatian most notable folklore musicians touring the world or at an international fair where we often present our instruments.      

     Even today, in a third century of constant workshop craftmanship and in fourth and fifth consecutive generation of  successors in family tradition, Stjepan. M.. Gilg enters in an unique era of creating and developing new inventive concept of CROATICA instruments and concert quality classical guitars thus  promoting herself in specialized workshop for making acoustic luthier´s instruments, made by order, tailored by measure and of highest quality.
